About Me

Matt Pilz Portrait

Born and raised in small-town Wisconsin, I have been intrigued by computers and technology since the age of 7 when my older brother gifted me his Commodore 64. With a natural drive to create and innovate, it wasn't long before I began programming my own small games and applications--a passion that has stayed with me ever since. By age 15, I had released my first commercial application.  In 2007, a casual PC game I developed was awarded Game of the Month by PC Zone Magazine in Europe. Most recently, I took home three grand prizes for various apps that I developed during 2013 as part of several Intel-sponsored worldwide competitions, each of which focused on unique and groundbreaking technology.

Academically, I have a Bachelor's of Science degree in Web Technologies, an Associate in Applied Science degree in eCommerce/Web Administration and a technical diploma in Web Design. I maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout all of my academic studies. Although much of my academic and professional life has focused on Web development and application development, I remain well-versed in most other aspects of IT as well.  As a life-long learner, I strive to remain at the forefront of the ever-evolving world of technology, especially in relation to Web and mobile app development.

As part of my own small business, linkedPIXEL LLC, I continue to develop a wide variety of games, applications and conceptual prototypes for many purposes while also performing related freelance work on the side. I have released apps for a diverse set of platforms including iOS, Android, smart TVs, Web, Windows 8, All-In-Ones, specialized touch devices and more. Apart from Web and mobile app development, I am well grounded in 2D graphic design, 3D modeling and animation, general programming, networking, computer repair and troubleshooting.
